Zayn Malik has hit pause on a major part of his comeback plans. The singer has canceled his upcoming U.S. tour dates while recovering from a recent health issue. Even as fans rallied behind him following his latest album release, Malik chose to step back and focus on getting better before returning to the stage.

Zayn Malik confirmed the decision himself, sharing a message with fans after being hospitalized last month for an undisclosed illness. He said he’s now recovering at home and reassured supporters that he is “doing well” and expects to come back “better and stronger than before (via Variety).”

The canceled shows were part of his 2026 tour tied to his album Konnakol, which dropped on April 17. While the U.S. leg is off the schedule, some international dates, including stops in the U.K. and Mexico, are still listed for now. Malik explained that he had to rethink his calendar and “reduce the number of shows,” but added he still hopes to meet as many fans as possible worldwide.

“I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can. I’m really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon. Big Love, Z,” the singer wrote.

Malik’s message also reflected gratitude. “Thank you so much for all the support and love,” he wrote, acknowledging the encouragement and well-wishes he received during his recovery. Earlier, he had to cancel a fan event in Kingston, U.K., saying he was “heartbroken” but thankful for “understanding” and for the medical care he received.

Behind the scenes, his family also addressed the overwhelming fan response. Supporters had been sending flowers, but relatives asked them to instead donate to charity, noting that the volume of deliveries became difficult to manage. They clarified that the request was about logistics, not directly linked to his hospitalization.
