Kid Rock has dropped a new track, but his followers aren't fans.

The 55-year-old rocker took to his Instagram on Wednesday, May 13, to announce he has something new and exciting for fans to sink their teeth into. Kid shared a video of himself sitting on a stool, playing his guitar and singing a slowed-down version of his hit song 'Til You Can't.

Behind him was a wooden wall with a large crucifix cut into it and a light shining through. On another slide, Kid, wearing jeans, a green jacket and a large cream cowboy hat, struck a series of poses as he smoldered for the camera while playing his guitar. It comes after the rock star sparked backlash for his shocking stunt with the US military.

Alonside the post, Kid penned, "This song - and now video, means more to me than most will ever know. There was no way to include everyone I love who has been so important in my life, so apologies in advance if anyone feels left out - just know I love you all and dearly miss all of you who are no longer with us. God Is Good."

He continued, "Full video is live now. Link in bio." Kid then shared a link to his YouTube channel, where fans can watch and listen to the reimagined version in full.

The YouTube caption also provided more context to Kid's new song, saying, "Kid Rock reimagines ’Til You Can’t' as a slowed-down, emotional ballad, adding a powerful new verse he says came to him in the middle of the night and is rooted in Jesus, faith, and spiritual reflection.

"The song was originally written by Ben Stennis and Matt Rogers and performed by Cody Johnson," it goes on. However, it has become clear how the musician's fans feel about the new project.

In the Instagram comments of the teaser Kid posted, one user blasted, "Washed up!!!!! Trying way to hard," with another adding, "Sounds like herpes. Perfect for MAGA"

A third person chimed in, "'Kid Rock (Robert Ritchie) has a history of arrests related to physical altercations, primarily in the 2000s, with notable incidents in 2005 and 2007."

"'These involved misdemeanor assault and battery charges, typically stemming from fights at clubs or restaurants, resulting in probation and fines.' Sounds like a good Christian to me," the user continued.

This prompted a fourth user to joke, "You are about as Christian as Satan," followed by a laughing face emoji. Elsewhere, a fifth penned, "Yikes…bring the old Kid Rock back. Whatever this is needs to go away." Additionally, a sixth person wrote, "Peace of s--t song just like you."

It comes after Kid sparked another wave of backlash by publicly supporting President Donald Trump. He did so by hosting an alternative halftime show to Bad Bunny's one at this year's Super Bowl.

He also took part in a campaign with Robert F kennedy Jr. to help him promote Make America Healthy Again, where the two men worked out topless together and drank whole milk, also causing a divide among his fans.
