Kat Timpf is taking a break from her work on Fox News' Gutfeld! to spend time with her family.
After welcoming her first child in February 2025 and simultaneously being diagnosed with breast cancer, Timpf announced on a January 2026 episode of the show that she'll be taking six weeks off to be with her husband, Cameron Friscia, and their son.
Timpf and Friscia married in a small wedding ceremony in May 2021. Four years later, they announced the birth of their first child in February 2025. Only 15 hours prior, Timpf was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she underwent a double mastectomy in March 2025.
After going through a breast reconstruction process, Timpf returned to TV later that year, and she announced that she was cancer-free.

He’s a military veteran

Friscia is a former Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan.
On Veterans Day in November 2021, Timpf dedicated a post to him on Instagram. “Everyone plz take a moment to thank @camfrish for his service,” she wrote alongside a photo of Friscia in combat fatigues.
According to his now-unavailable LinkedIn page, Friscia also has a master’s degree from Indiana University and eventually became an investment banker.
He and Timpf met on Raya

Timpf and Friscia met via the dating app Raya, although it’s unclear when.
Initially, Timpf was hesitant about dating the Army vet. Speaking to PEOPLE, she explained that her first impression of Friscia was that he “seemed so clean-cut” compared to men she’d dated in the past, and she wasn’t sure if they would be a good fit.
During an interview with Bill Maher on his podcast, Club Random, Timpf elaborated, saying, “He works in finance, he’s from a great family, he went to boarding school.”

While Timpf hasn't disclosed when she and Friscia started dating, she confirmed her engagement status in August 2020 during an appearance on The Greg Gutfeld Show.
After showing the camera a diamond ring on her fourth finger, she told host Greg Gutfeld that it was, indeed, an engagement ring.
Following the exchange, Timpf shared a clip of the moment on Instagram with the caption, “Hell froze over.”

Timpf and Friscia married on May 1, 2021, in a small ceremony officiated by Fox News contributor and Kennedy host Lisa Kennedy Montgomery.
Timpf walked down the aisle to “I Wanna Grow Old With You,” Adam Sandler’s song from The Wedding Singer.
She wore a sleeveless lace gown from Kleinfeld and opted to leave her signature glasses off for most of the day.

Timpf and Friscia's first child, a baby boy, arrived in February 2025, hours after Timf had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
She shared the news in an Instagram post, writing, "Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer."
In October 2025, Timpf shared another update on her cancer journey in an interview with PEOPLE, adding that her treatment involved undergoing a double mastectomy weeks after she gave birth.
“I'm a changed person," she said. "I am not gonna be the same person that I was before I was told that I have cancer. I had a very unique experience being faced with both life and death in the same day — the birth of my son and then the diagnosis of a disease that could have killed me."

Timpf and Friscia live in New York with their two pets, Carl and Cheens. She’s had her cat, Cheens, for 13 years, but the duo adopted their dog, Carl, together.
On social media, Timpf frequently shares photos of Carl and Cheens. The two animals were also featured in her and Friscia’s wedding as ring bearers.
