With the release of *Michael*, Antoine Fuqua’s controversial biopic of acclaimed and troubled pop star Michael Jackson, the singer’s three children are back in the public eye.

The King of Pop’s eldest son, Prince Jackson, is credited as an executive producer on *Michael* and was reportedly a regular presence on the film’s set. (The singer’s nephew, Jermaine Jackson’s son Jaafar, plays Michael in the film.)

While Paris Jackson has been open about the ā€œinaccuraciesā€ she saw in the movie's script, youngest sibling Bigi (formerly Blanket) walked the red carpet with Prince at *Michael*’s Berlin premiere.

Jackson, who shared Prince and Paris with former wife Debbie Rowe and welcomed Bigi via an anonymous surrogate, largely raised his children in isolation at his Neverland Ranch to shield them from the rampant attention of journalists and fans. When they were permitted in public, Jackson’s children wore masks to shield their identity.

In 2007, the singer’s longtime bodyguard told PEOPLE that, despite their unconventional upbringing, Jackson’s children were "well-mannered, well-behaved kids," as well as "really level-headed."

When Jackson died in 2009 at the age of 50, the children were sent to live with Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson.

Prince told *Good Morning Britain* (via PEOPLE) in 2021 that he and his siblings remain close. "Any moment that I get to spend with my siblings now, especially as we're getting older and our own lives are starting to blossom and grow, every moment that I get with them, any little family dinner, any family outing, is really a special moment."

Here’s everything to know about Michael Jackson’s three children.**

Prince Jackson (born Michael Joseph Jackson Jr.) is the singer’s oldest son. He was born on Feb. 13, 1997, and is Jackson's first child with Debbie Rowe, whom the pop star married in 1996.

After Rowe and Jackson divorced in 1999, the singer was granted primary custody of Prince, who grew up alongside Paris and Bigi in relative seclusion at Neverland Ranch. After his father’s death in 2009, Prince and his two siblings were put in the care of paternal grandmother Katherine Jackson.

Prince made his acting debut at the age of 17 in a 2013 episode of *90210,* and that same year served as a correspondent for* Entertainment Tonight*. He studied business at Loyola Marymount University, and in 2016 co-founded Heal Los Angeles, a charity aimed to help young people in the L.A. area.

In 2025 he took to Instagram to announce his engagement to his girlfriend of eight years. ā€œMolly and I have spent a lot of time together and made incredible memories. We’ve traveled the world, graduated, and grown so much together,ā€ he wrote.**

Prince is an executive producer on *Michael*. Fellow producer Graham King told *The Hollywood Reporter* that the singer’s eldest child ā€œwas on set every day."

Prince previously told *KTLA Morning News* that working on *Michael* gave him a greater understanding of his dad. ā€œWorking on my father’s biopic, you meet so many people who knew him at a time when I wasn’t even born yet. And you get to learn about this man that I grew up with that I love. But I get to see him in a new light,ā€ he explained. ā€œI get to see what it was like working with him or what it was like being his friend. It’s just such a gratifying experience for me.ā€

Speaking with ABC News on the eve of the film's April 2026 release, he called his work on the film "one of the greatest experiences of my life."

"The first time that I saw [Jaafar] in person in his hair and makeup was really an emotional shock, because I had not seen my father in a long time," Prince recalled. "Jaafar just embodied him and brought him back in that moment. It was difficult to maintain and keep composure, because I really just wanted to give him a hug in that moment."**

Jackson and Rowe's second child, Paris was born on April 3, 1998, and named after the city in which she was conceived. Paris, who shares godparents Elizabeth Taylor and Macaulay Culkin with her two siblings, was raised primarily by Jackson following he and Rowe’s divorce.

After studying at Sherman Oaks’ exclusive Buckley School, Paris signed with IMG models in 2017. She went on to grace the covers of magazines such as *Harpers* and *Rolling Stone,* and walk the runway for famed fashion designers Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Tam.

In 2018, the same year she made her film debut in *Gringo*, she formed the folk band The Soundflowers. Paris signed with Republic Records in 2020 and released her debut solo album *Wilted *that same year. The following year, she appeared on Ryan Murphy's *American Horror Stories, *a role she landed with the help of Culkin.

Paris was briefly engaged to music producer Justin Long from December 2024 until early 2025. She announced their split in July of that year.

Paris has spoken at length about her father's legacy and reputation, beginning with her unplanned speech at his funeral when she was just 11 years old. "Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just want to say that I love him so much,ā€ she said.

In 2023, on what would have been Jackson's 65th birthday, Paris spoke about her dad during a live performance in Colorado. ā€œHe put 50 years of blood, sweat, and tears and love, and passion into doing what he did so that I can stand up here onstage in front of you and scream into a microphone," she told the crowd. "I owe everything to him.ā€

But despite her appreciation of Michael’s work and her brother Prince’s executive producer credit, Paris has not minced words about her displeasure with Fuqua’s biopic. In September 2025, Paris published a lengthy statement on her Instagram Stories in response to *Michael* star Colman Domingo telling PEOPLE that Paris and her two siblings were ā€œvery much in support of our film.ā€

"I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest [and] didn't sit right with me and when they didn't address it, I moved on with my life," she said. "Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and godspeed."

Paris later offered more clarification. "I wasn't involved at all, aside from giving feedback on the first draft and then getting the feedback that [production] was not actually going to address [my] notes at all," she claimed. "So I just butted out and left it alone because it's not my project."

She continued, "They're going to make whatever they're going to make. A big reason why I haven't said anything up until this point is because I know a lot of you guys are gonna be happy with it. A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad's fandom that still lives in the fantasy, and they're gonna be happy with it. The thing about these biopics is it’s Hollywood. It’s fantasy land — it’s not real. But it’s sold to you as real, and a lot of sugar-coated.ā€

Paris went on to claim that ā€œthe narrative is being controlled. There’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of full-blown lies [in *Michael*]."**

Bigi was born on Feb. 21, 2002, via an anonymous surrogate. He was dubbed ā€œBlanketā€ by his father, a nickname which was quickly adopted by the media.

In the documentary *Being Michael Jackson*, the singer explained that the nickname stemmed from his desire to ā€œblanket [Bigi] with love.ā€ He changed his name to Bigi in 2015.

In November 2002, at nine months old, Bigi made headlines when Jackson dangled him over the balcony of the Hotel Adlon in Berlin. Jackson later explained that he was trying to give the assembled mass of journalists and photographers a better look at his child, but he later said he regretted doing it and called the act a ā€œterrible mistake.ā€

Bigi spoke to *Good Morning Britain* (via PEOPLE) from his father’s home studio in 2021 about how he and his sibling are preserving the singer’s legacy by recording their own music there. "There's a lot of really cool stuff here. There's a lot of history in this house and the studio here. That's what he was all about," Bigi said. "That's what each of us want to do — make things that people enjoy but also benefit their lives."

Bigi is a filmmaker, having helmed a pair of shorts: *Rochelles* (2024) and *Joni* (2025).

In 2024, he made a rare public appearance alongside Prince in Las Vegas at the *Michael Jackson ONE* Cirque du Soleil show. He also joined his brother on the red carpet at *Michael*’s Berlin premiere.**
