Welcome to the recap for Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 12, the finale! Last week, Natalie ended things with Jason before they even began when she learned he thought they were more than friends. And speaking of ending things, Audrey didn’t quite close the door on Chris after all. But she sure did with Angelica when she roasted her to a crisp during her stand-up comedy debut. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of a season, so how will things end for this new group of SURvers? Here’s exactly what went down in Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 12: “Pride and Joy.”

What happened in Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 12?

Audrey ended things with Chris for a second time once she realized he was never going to commit. Yet Chris was still confused as to why. While they were officially dunzo, Shayne and Angelica decided to go for round two. Venus hosted a successful Pride event that ended with a bang. When Audrey wouldn’t apologize to Angelica for roasting her, Angelica decided to give her a taste of her own medicine.

Chris backtracked on committing to Audrey

It was getting closer to the big Pride event at SUR, and Venus was feeling the pressure as host to get it right. He shared in his confessional, “It needs to be Gaga gay, Madonna gay, Cher gay, Dolly Parton gay! But also … we need something lesbian.”

While Natalie crafted cocktails for Pride, such as the “Penis Pump Pumptini,” Demy and Kim met up with Angelica at her new apartment. Angelica was in good spirits even after the roasting from the previous night. Still, she felt it was a personal attack.

Demy agreed but noted it was even more rude that Audrey didn’t roast her at all. Angelica was most surprised, though, that Shayne ditched his date to chase after her when she left the show.

Across town, Chris finally made a romantic gesture to Audrey by … making her a sandwich and pouring some champs (which hopefully were not served in plastic flutes). But this was really only to soften the blow that they shouldn’t be boyfriend and girlfriend yet.

Chris told her he was going to be traveling, and if he met a girl he liked, he didn’t want that to be an issue. I guess he was going to “f*ck mad b*tches” in Bali after all. Ultimately, he liked what they had but wasn’t ready to move forward yet.

This 180 completely threw Audrey off. She just broke it off with him the other day, only to have Chris promise he wanted to commit to her. She said in her confessional, “What do you mean? I broke up with you because you weren’t committing to me. You told me you were going to commit to me. I took you back. Now you want to f*ck other b*tches? What is going on?”

Shayne was thinking about dating Angelica again

Marcus was stoked that Venus asked him to DJ the Pride event at SUR. So, he met up with Shayne to pick out a mixing board. Shayne dished he was thinking about reopening things with someone. The problem was he couldn’t remember her name. After a brief pause Shayne blurted out, “Angelica!” Oh, she is going to love that.

However, Shayne admitted he was not good at committing. He shared he was constantly craving validation and needed it from multiple people. In his confessional, Shayne said that he has “used women very similarly to the way I have used drugs.” He noted he even went through withdrawals when he didn’t date anyone for fifteen months.

Marcus advised he find one girl that he really likes and who will give him all the validation he needs. Like how he has an amazing relationship with Kim. Never mind the fact they are constantly breaking up.

Regarding Angelica, Shayne was not worried about her mystery man that she picked up from LAX. He predicted it was Angelica’s way to get him to hurry up and commit. Still, he was open to going “real slow.” But “real slow” is not Angelica’s love language.

Someone else who was tired of taking things slow was Audrey. She told her roommates she felt bamboozled by Chris. When she went to his apartment, she thought he was going to ask her to be his girlfriend, not tell her he wanted to be in an open relationship.

She realized on her way home that she was not ok with that. So now, she officially had to end things with Chris. And Pride was where it was all going to go down.

Venus hosted SUR’s Pride event without a hitch

The big day had finally arrived, and Venus was putting up the finishing touches for the Pride event at SUR. While Venus hustled, Natalie and Angelica gossiped instead. Angelica complained that Audrey never reached out after the roast. And to her, that meant Audrey meant what she said.

Venus gave Angelica side-eye. In his confessional, he said, “The amount of times Angelica has roasted Jason, you’d think she could take a joke.” Cut to Angelica calling Jason “little” any chance she could get. Still, Angelica got a dig in.

In her confessional, Angelica said, “I just feel like every time I meet her, it’s a new Audrey … They say that women don’t finish developing their frontal lobe until age 25, and I’m 26. Audrey’s 22, and she’s still got a few screws loose.”

Things were awkward between Audrey and Angelica, but any animosity was put on pause once Lisa arrived. Venus then stood up in front of the crowd and gave a moving speech about how much hosting this event meant to him, which had Lisa and Demy tearing up. However, Venus ended on a high note and shouted to get the party started. Pride was on!

Shayne then pulled Angelica aside and let her know that he was still interested. He also apologized for hurting her feelings during their trip to Paso Robles. Angelica couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She wondered if he was just bored with the other girl he was seeing. But when Shayne said she was girlfriend material, that’s all Angelica needed to hear, and she started to make out with him. Shayne was back in the game.

Audrey had showdowns with Chris and Angelica on Vanderpump Rules

Audrey knew it was now or never and pulled Chris aside to break the news. She told him she wished she had handled things differently when they talked. Audrey stated, “I wish I would have said, ‘This isn’t what I want. This isn’t what I look for in a relationship.’”

Chris admitted he did like her, but he wasn’t ready to commit. Audrey felt he kept contradicting himself. Chris argued, “I’m telling you I’m not ready at where I’m at. I’m not 100%.” Audrey quipped, “Great. Well then I’m going to go find someone who is.”

However, the drama wasn’t done. Angelica wanted a piece of Audrey next. She met Audrey in the back alley and asked why she didn’t apologize for roasting her during her stand-up routine. Audrey put a wall up and went with the “I take stand-up comedy very seriously” angle.

This flustered Angelica, who then called Audrey “ugly” and said that she looked like “Sid the Sloth” in an attempt to show that being mean isn’t funny. Not Sid the Sloth catching strays!

This encounter soon brought the whole group out back to see what was going on. Jason jumped in and went after Angelica for insulting him all season. Before it blew up any further, Lisa corralled them back inside. They had a lot to celebrate. Not only was it Pride, but they just wrapped up a killer twelfth season.
