USDA Announces Highest-Level Recall of More Than 167,000 Pounds of Meat

North Carolina-based Star Meat Delivery Inc. is recalling approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef, and goat products that were distributed nationwide, according to an announcement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The meat was produced without federal inspection, and the labels bear a false USDA mark of inspection. Any meat with the false establishment number “EST. 1363” should be considered unsafe to eat by consumers.
FSIS has issued a Class I recall, meaning that there is “reasonable probability” that eating the recalled meat could cause “serious, adverse health consequences or death.”
How To Identify the Recalled Meat
The recall includes numerous cuts of raw beef, pork, and goat that were vacuum-sealed and packed into cardboard boxes. The meat items were also produced on various dates prior to Sept. 22, 2026. The recall includes both fresh and frozen meat.
The recalled products were shipped to A&D Foods, a distributor in Georgia, then distributed to both retailers and restaurants nationwide. FSIS is concerned that individual consumer packages may not bear the same labeling, as retail stores may have applied their own stickers. All meat with the false establishment number “EST. 1363” (which does not have a federal grant of inspection) is subject to recall.

What To Do if You Have the Recalled Meat
At this time, there have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury in connection with this recall. However, food produced without the benefit of federal inspection may contain “undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria, or other contaminants that put consumer health and safety at risk,” according to FSIS.
FSIS is concerned that some recalled products may still be in the refrigerators or freezers of consumers, retailers, and restaurants. Consumers are urged not to consume any of the recalled meat, and retailers and restaurants are asked not to sell or serve this meat. The meat should be discarded or returned to the original place of purchase.
