Tom Brady's most recent broadcasting mishap wasn't a name error or incorrect information-it was his unfiltered language catching up with him once more, and this time he's addressing it head-on.
The incident occurred during FOX's broadcast of the Cowboys' 37-20 victory over the Commanders, when Dak Prescott delivered a challenging sideline throw that prompted an uncensored response from Brady in the commentary booth.
The former quarterback characterized the pass as an "absolute p--- missile up the sideline," a remark that rapidly spread online, following Brady's earlier on-air expletive while responding to Jayden Daniels' severe elbow injury. Daniels subsequently received mixed results from his diagnosis after startling Brady.

Speaking about the incident directly, Brady admitted the language wasn't his best moment as a commentator.
"I'm actually kind of embarrassed," Brady said. "There are a lot of grandmas at home that probably aren't very happy with my mouth on Fox. I'm going to fix that. Sorry, I apologize.", reports The Mirror US.

He also shared a humorous look at how his family has been holding him responsible at home. "That swear jar is getting way too full in my house," he said. "My kids are getting way too happy with me filling up that jar."

Despite his apology, Brady injected some levity into the situation, suggesting that "p--- missile" might have just been the most precise description for the throw in question. Nevertheless, he suggested intentions to moderate his language moving forward, informing audiences he plans to maintain more family-appropriate content in future broadcasts.
In addition to his commentary duties, Brady holds a minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, creating additional scrutiny around his on-air remarks.
His statements have also reignited discussion surrounding FCC broadcast indecency regulations, though no public enforcement measures connected to either incident had been disclosed as of this week.
According to existing FCC standards, the maximum fine for a single infraction stands at $508,373, while an ongoing violation carries a ceiling of $4,692,668. As of now, the FCC has not pursued penalties against FOX regarding either of Brady's broadcast remarks.
Brady entered into a reported 10-year, $375 million agreement with FOX Sports in May 2022 and commenced announcing NFL games for the network in 2024, instantly becoming one of the most scrutinized appointments in sports broadcasting history due to the contract's magnitude.
He's consistently recognized the adjustment period accompanying his new career, previously stating to Sports Business Journal that he still feels he has "a lot to prove" to network executives despite his unparalleled playing credentials.
