*Stranger Things *star Randy Havens is speaking out amid rumors that there’s a secret extended cut of the fifth and final season. **

The actor, who has starred as helpful Hawkins science teacher Mr. Clarke throughout the Netflix sci-fi series, debunked the idea that fans aren’t getting the full story in a social media post on Sunday.Ā **

"There's no secret Snyder cut of the show," Havens wrote on his Instagram Story, referring to director Zack Snyder's four-hour-long version of the 2017 film *Justice League* that was later released in 2021. ā€œPlease don’t believe everything some random ass tells you on the internet.ā€

Havens’ response comes amid swirling claims that several key scenes and plotlines were removed from Volume 2 of *Stranger Things,* which debuted on Christmas Day. In response, fans have created an online petition demanding that Netflix and the Duffer Brothers release all of the ā€œunseen footageā€ from the series that has amassed over 300,000 signatures as of Monday.

ā€œWE WANT ANSWERS!! It’s important because we waited so long for this season,ā€ petition creator Wennii J wrote in part. ā€œI believe the fans should have a say in how the series should go. This is why so many of us are disappointed because it didn’t live up to the expectations that was held upon.ā€

Havens made an appearance in the second volume of season 5, which saw Mr. Clarke help the Hawkins crew locate Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and learn about the existence of the Upside Down.

Now, all that’s left is to see which *Stranger Things *characters make it out alive when the two-hour-long finale, titled "The Rightside Up," drops on Netflix and in select theaters on New Year’s Eve.

Speaking with **, series co-creator Russ Duffer promised that the show will "go out in a big way."

His brother and co-creator Matt Duffer also teased, "It's very large in scale, but I think it's more character-focused than any of the other episodes in the season. With the 2-hour runtime, you're able to do both."
