Ahead of PEOPLE's World's Most Beautiful issue, which featured some of the most stunning (inside and out!) celebrity on the planet including cover star Anne Hathaway, we wanted to know what PEOPLE readers found especially compelling in the beauty space within the past year. Whether's it's controversial haircuts on TV (and Timothée) to the Bessette blonde you're bringing to your stylist for inspiration, there was much to discuss and plenty to debate.
Thousands of you voted in our readers' choice poll, and now we can reveal the results. Some categories were neck-and-neck, while others were absolute blowouts. But one thing's for certain: When it comes to beautiful moments, we're all winners.

From JFK, Jr.'s thick curls in Love Story to Harper's chic microbraids in Industry, this TV season had a lot of hair inspo. But two big cuts in particular got your attention: Belly's breakup bob in The Summer I Turned Pretty and the top vote-getter, Emily's "Italian girl bob" in Emily in Paris.

Best Olympics Beauty Moment

Alysa Liu's whole look — the halo hair, the "smiley" frenulum piercing, the Rare Beauty lip gloss — won the gold for readers' favorite beauty moment of the Olympics, which included other podium-worthy prettiness like Eileen Gu's big bows, Jessie Diggins' racing glitter and Amber Glenn's braids.

Most Compelling Timothée Chalamet Hair Length

Nicole Kidman hitting the town with bangs (and her natural curls!) post-Keith Urban split had PEOPLE readers doing double takes — though Ben Affleck's dyed beard post-Jennifer Lopez divorce, Chase Stokes' shaved head amid Kelsea Ballerini relationship drama and Alix Earle's "goodbye Braxton Berrios" bangs all were noteworthy as well.

With Love Story creating a craze for all things Carolyn Bessette Kennedy — her hair color included — there comes the question of which star's buttery highlights to use as the inspiration for your own CBK coif. The winner? Jennifer Lawrence, whose tresses took top honors opposite Grace Van Patten, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and CBK portrayer Sarah Pidgeon herself.

Soooo many cute cuts hit the carpet this year, and we loved the look on Sofia Richie, Ayo Edibiri and Emma Stone too. But it was Zendaya's "bixie" that took the top spot in the readers' choice poll.

Best 'Method Makeup'

Margot Robbie practically reinvented the concept of "method dressing" for a movie press tour with Barbie, so it stands to reason she'd serve just as hard on the Wuthering Heights press tour. Her gothic romance-inspired looks won in this category, but it was a tight race against Priyanka Chopra for The Bluff, Jenna Ortega for Wednesday and Ariana Grande's Wicked: For Good beauty.

TikTok has no shortage of beauty trends to try, but how do they look in the real world? Elle Fanning's "guava girl makeup" — juicy and tropical — was your favorite of the screen-to-starlet beauty moments; others included "cherry everything" seen on Ariana Greenblatt, "toasted makeup" as worn by Rihanna, and "blush blindness," famously a favorite of Sabrina Carpenter.
