Ever since the release of Ryan Murphy’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, everyone has been trying to dress like the late CBK, in part thanks to the performance by Sarah Pidgeon, who completely embodies the former fashion publicist through her uniquely chic fashion sense.

As a wink to the series, and to the current Carolyn Bessette Kennedy craze, Pidgeon showed up to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party last night in a dress courtesy of Calvin Klein Collection—because what better choice is there? (Bessette Kennedy famously worked at Calvin Klein before her marriage to JFK Jr.)

Her spaghetti strap maxi was covered in silvery sequins and crystals, creating a shimmering, crunchy texture like a pile of diamonds had been glued all over her body. In the front, a seam ran down the dress, giving the effect that it had been wrapped around her, and at the top, a piece of the fabric even folded down like the corner of a page, further selling the wrap illusion.

To match her dress, Pidgeon carried a silver metal One Clutch from creative director Veronica Leoni’s Fall 2025 collection for the house, inspired by the shape of the CK One perfume bottle. She also wore a pair of cream strappy sandal heels to round things out.

Earlier this month, in Bazaar’s interview with Pidgeon and her Love Story costar, Paul Anthony Kelly, she talked about how she embodied Bessette Kennedy on the series. “So much of Carolyn is this vibe; it’s this essence,” Pidgeon said. “There is a shared sense of people’s understanding of her. In the show, our interpretation really examines parts of her life that aren’t as familiar to the public. But there was always this sense of a vibe check—this is my attitude, my energy, my intuition—that I think of when I think of Carolyn.”
