Sam Worthington is playing a man on a mission to prove his innocence and save his family.

On Thursday, May 7, Netflix dropped the first teaser for I Will Find You, a series adapted from Harlan Coben's 2023 novel of the same name.

The series features the Avatar star as an "innocent father serving life for the murder of his own son" who "receives evidence that his child may still be alive" as he "must break out of prison to find out the truth," per a logline from the streamer. It also stars Britt Lower and Milo Ventimiglia.

In the footage, Worthington's David Burroughs gets a prison visit from ex-sister-in-law and reporter Rachel Mills (Lower) who believes she has proof his missing son is alive. David takes one look at the photo she brings to him and admits "he looks like Matthew."

"I know how insane that sounds," Mills says, as Burroughs admits its "just as insane as people thinking I killed my little boy in the first place."

The prisoner then reveals that there may be "someone very dangerous behind this," as the footage cuts to glimpses of high-speed chases, Burroughs jumping off a building and a look at the little boy who he wants to prove is still "out there."

"I'm gonna find him and bring him home," he says.

Showrunner and co-creator Robert Hull adapted the series from Coben's 2023 novel. The series features Lower as a "former decorated reporter" who "discovers evidence suggesting an incredible secret" and "views it as a once-in-a-lifetime story that could be her ticket back to journalism," per Netflix's Tudum.

“The cast we’ve assembled is nothing short of phenomenal,” Hull told the streamer. “Any one of these incredible artists would be a dream on their own. The fact we’ve somehow drawn them all in is a testament to the power of Harlan’s storytelling and the incredible support of everyone at Netflix. I cannot wait to watch them bring these roles to life.”

Coben, 64, added in a statement that Netflix has "been an amazing creative partner all over the globe" and that their new project features a "dream team of talent.” Coben will executive produce through Final Twist Productions, alongside Hull, Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien and John Weber.

I Will Find You also features Logan Browning, Erin Richards, Chi McBride and Jonathan Tucker. Series guests include Hugh Thompson, Peter Outerbridge, Christopher Redman, Eric Johnson, Greg Bryk, Kate Vernon, Tara Rosling, Darrin Baker, Aaron Ashmore, Nicola Correia-Damude, Rachel Wilson, Billy MacLellan, Clancy Brown and Madeleine Stowe.

The series arrives on Netflix on June 18.
