Savannah Chrisley is responding to criticism following a series of personal revelations about her relationship with businessman Jason Galanis.
The 29-year-old Chrisley Knows Best alum addressed the backlash in an Instagram Story on Saturday, describing the past week as a “whirlwind” and saying the “world can be so incredibly cruel.”

Her fiancé was later identified as Jason Galanis, 56, a businessman previously convicted of fraud.
Reports later revealed the couple married in secret on July 14 at a Baptist church in the Cayman Islands, months before they publicly announced their engagement.
Reflecting on the public reaction, Savannah Chrisley said people were quick to judge her decisions and slow to offer understanding.
“People can be quick to judge, quick to condemn, and slow to show grace. But as I sit here looking out at God’s beautiful creation, I’m reminded of something so much greater than the noise around me.”
She added that she was choosing to focus on her faith rather than respond to every criticism.
“I’ve learned that you don’t have to defend what God has already ordained. You don’t have to fight every battle, answer every accusation, or convince the world of what God already knows to be true.”
Savannah Chrisley also spoke about finding peace through her religious beliefs, saying she intended to respond to negativity with love and grace.
“My heart is full. My blessings are immeasurable. And my faith is stronger than any storm this world could ever bring.”
She ended her message with a declaration of faith:

“Because at the end of the day, hate will never have the final word. JESUS WILL. And LOVE ALWAYS WINS.”
Savannah Chrisley and Jason Galanis: Pregnancy and engagement
The Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley host first shared a glimpse of her relationship in May, but she didn’t identify her partner. At the time, she called him her “mystery man.”
"There is a huge age gap there, probably part of the reason why I kept a lot of it quiet, because I know how brutal the public can be. The age difference—so what? I don't care. He does not look his age, nor does he act his age. His body is great. His mind is even sharper."
Eventually, People identified Savannah Chrisley’s beau as businessman Jason Galanis, as the host announced their pregnancy and engagement.
The businessman is a convicted felon who was sentenced to 189 months in prison in Manhattan federal court after pleading guilty to felony counts from two major white-collar fraud operations: the Tribal Bond Scheme, in which he defrauded a Native American tribe into issuing over $60 million in municipal bonds, stealing tens of millions to fund luxury assets; and the Gerova Financial Scheme, in which he manipulated the market by secretly dumping company stock onto public investors, violating an active SEC ban.
He was later released after his sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump.
Nonetheless, Savannah Chrisley remained committed to her partner.
On Instagram on Tuesday, she revealed:
“The past few years have taken me through fires I never imagined I’d have to walk through. [...] I wondered if I would ever find my forever [...] and then God sent me J. And just when I thought my heart couldn’t hold any more love, God gave us our sweetest blessing yet … we’re having a BABY!”
The two first connected in June 2025, when Jason Galanis reached out to commend her public advocacy after President Trump’s full pardon of her parents’ prison sentences.
The pair developed a friendship amid her campaign, which eventually turned romantic.
Five months into their relationship, Savannah Chrisley and Jason Galanis were engaged after the businessman popped the question in Little Cayman.
In an episode of her podcast, she credited the “political world” for bringing her and Galanis together. She concluded:
“That proposal was just right. It was everything. I would not trade that moment for anything in the entire world because it was us."
