Princess Alexandra rewore her late grandmother Grace Kelly’s gold Givenchy dress.
The sleeveless number features a scoop neckline and intricate beading.
Kelly wore it to the wedding of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain in 1962.
Princess Alexandra of Hanover borrowed a memorable gown from her late grandmother, Grace Kelly. On September 18, the 27-year-old royal modeled the Givenchy number in a new Instagram post.
“Yellow mood in archival Givenchy,” Alexandra’s caption reads. She posed in the sleeveless design, which features intricate gold beading and a scoop neckline. Kelly famously wore the gown at the wedding of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain in 1962. She styled it with a tiara and white elbow-length gloves.

Alexandra accessorized her ensemble with dainty jewelry and a black clutch, wearing her long hair straightened. The princess is the youngest child of Kelly’s daughter, Princess Caroline, and her third husband, Ernst August von Hannover. Caroline also has sons Andrea and Pierre—who are 42 and 39, respectively—as well as a 40-year-old daughter, Charlotte, from her marriage to Stefano Casiraghi, who died in 1990.
Earlier this month, Alexandra announced her engagement to Ben-Sylvester Strautmann via Instagram. She showed off her 4.8-carat yellow diamond, which, per Tatler, is flanked by two trillion-cut diamonds. Valued at around $203,000, the ring also features an 18kt yellow and white gold setting.

“The marriage plot,” Alexandra wrote, adding a few yellow heart emojis. The featured image depicted the princess and her fiancé, who she’s been with for about a decade.
“Congratulations beautiful,” singer Laufey commented.

Alexandra is one of Kelly’s 11 grandchildren and her uncle, Prince Albert, is Monaco’s current reigning monarch. Kelly married into the Monegasque royal family in 1956, tying the knot with Prince Rainier III in a highly publicized ceremony. They welcomed Caroline, Albert, and Princess Stéphanie between 1957 and 1965.
