Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton candidly discussed some of his deepest life regrets in an interview with Sean Hannity, which was filmed before a disturbing livestream in which he appeared to harm himself.
On Thursday, Aug. 6, the Fox News host posted a new YouTube interview with Perez entitled 'Perez Hilton: Regrets, Redemption and Finding Faith' on Hang Out with Sean Hannity. Throughout the hour-long discussion, the 48-year-old addressed a range of subjects, including some of the most troubling low points of his professional career.
The footage was posted shortly after Perez was hospitalized following a deeply distressing self-harming livestream he broadcast on TikTok. In the clip, Perez appeared to repeatedly cut himself with a sharp object. Emergency services and mental health professionals stepped in after receiving multiple calls from alarmed viewers.

During the interview, Sean challenged Perez on several controversial remarks he made throughout his rise to fame in the mid-2000s, when he launched an aggressive celebrity gossip blog known as PageSixSixSix.com, which was later rebranded as PerezHilton.com. The site attracted millions of daily visitors, earning him the notorious nickname the "Queen of Mean."
Reflecting on that period of his life, Sean asked, "So mocking celebrities' bodies and appearances, speculating about sexuality - I mean that's really personal s--t. Okay, do you do it anymore?"
Perez responded, "No because I realized what I was doing was wrong. I realized I could still be funny, but I didn't have to be so cheap, and I didn't have to be so cruel. It was cruel. It's something that I carry with me. It's like my scarlet letter, and it's very heavy baggage."

He added, "I mean, I have a lot of regrets. It's hard to have people really accept this, but if you like attention, attention is like a drug. I was definitely an attention addict back then. I mean, I still am, but I think now I do a better job of keeping it in check."
Hannity stated, "Many people lived in fear of you. Like, real panicked fear."
"And I live with that, you know? I've made amends, or tried to, with a lot of people. I reached out to them privately," Hilton said.
This follows reports that the blogger labeled Britney Spears an "unfit mother" in 2007. Perez's remarks came after the pop icon struck a photographer's vehicle with an umbrella in LA one day after her widely publicized head-shaving incident, during a period of severe personal turmoil.

Additionally, following actor Heath Ledger's fatal overdose in 2008, Perez produced custom T-shirts bearing the insensitive slogan, "Why couldn't it be Britney?" which he marketed on his website, according to the New York Post.
In the years since, Perez has voiced profound remorse for his behavior and extended apologies to numerous celebrities he wronged over the years, among them Britney and Khloe Kardashian.
He revealed that while he never had a direct, face-to-face conversation with Britney, he did reach out through a third party, and that the resulting exchange went "well."
