Spider-Noir won’t be back for a second season.
Prime Video’s live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir starred Nicolas Cage in the lead role.
Launched in May, Spider-Noir is up for 11 Emmys, the most of any Prime Video show this year.

The live-action superhero series starring Nicolas Cage as a variant Spider-Man toiling as a private detective during the Great Depression won’t return for a second season, Entertainment Weekly has learned.
Launched in May with the option to view the show in color or old-timey black-and-white, Spider-Noir was generally well-reviewed and garnered 11 Emmy nominations — the most of any Prime Video show this year.
In addition to Cage, the cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot served as co-showrunners on the series, which is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir.

Spider-Noir was the first show to emerge from a deal between Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios to develop titles based on Spider-Man and associated characters. A second such project is in the works and expected to be announced soon.
All eight episodes of Spider-Noir remain available to stream on Prime Video.
