Nicola Peltz Dodges Question About Increasing Interest in Her Marriage with Brooklyn Beckham amid His Family Rift

Nicola Peltz is staying mum about her husband Brooklyn Beckham's ongoing rift with his parents, Victoria and David Beckham
The actress was asked about dealing with the surmounting attention brought onto her marriage following Brooklyn's shocking claims against his family
The actress instead focused on her new movie Prima, which a source revealed to PEOPLE was also why she has appeared slimmer in recent months
Nicola Peltz Beckham is putting her focus on other things beyond her husband Brooklyn's family feud.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on March 5, the actress, 31, was asked about how she's been navigating the public attention her marriage has received amid his ongoing rift with parents Victoria and David Beckham, as well as his three siblings. Instead of addressing the subject head-on, Nicola dodged the question altogether by promoting her new ballerina film, Prima, which she said she's been editing for "the past two and a half weeks."
"So honestly, I’ve been in the editing room. We haven’t had weekends. We’ve just been trying to make a deadline [for Cannes]. And it’s been so amazing to just put my focus on that and be creative. It’s been really fun doing that, and I’m really excited for it to come out."

Speculation around Brooklyn's strained relationship with his family was only heightened after he took to his Instagram Stories in January with a series of accusations about his parents trying to sabotage his marriage. The two wed in April 2022, and the nuptials have been the alleged source of all the drama, from Brooklyn's statement about Victoria refusing to make her daughter-in-law's dress to him claiming the former pop star "danced very inappropriately on" him in front of guests during what was meant to be his first dance with his wife.

Nicola has not directly addressed the tension between Brooklyn and his family. Her father, Nelson Peltz, however, broke his silence on the matter at the Feb. 3 WSJ Invest Live event. "My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story. That's not for coverage here today, but I'll tell you my daughter's great, my son-law Brooklyn is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together."
She's been updating fans with loved-up photos of her and Brooklyn, including her romantic tribute to the budding chef for his 27th birthday on March 4. In the post, she called him "the most special human," adding, "I hope all your dreams and wishes come true! You light up every room you walk into and anyone who knows you loves you." She then praised their relationship by writing about how much she loves being Brooklyn's wife. She concluded the message with "I love you" written three times.
Victoria and David also celebrated Brooklyn's special day with their own Instagram posts despite a Jan. 8 report from The Sun alleging that Brooklyn sent his parents a legal notice warning that they can only contact him through lawyers, while also insisting that they not "tag" him on social media.
In regard to her project, Nicola has been physically transforming herself for the role, a source told PEOPLE in January after commenters expressed concern over her appearance. The insider said that Nicola has been on an "intense workout regimen" to play a prima ballerina. (Film producers did not respond to request for comment.) According to the press release for Prima, the film follows the story of Margo (Peltz Beckham), a dedicated prima ballerina raised by her disciplinarian and “guardian of the art” grandmother (Faye Dunaway).
She's also been leaning into her onscreen career, making a cameo in Ryan Murphy's The Beauty.
