The actress, 31, stepped out at Vogue World: Hollywood with her sparkly new engagement ring on display. Mendes and her partner, Rudy Mancuso, 33, got engaged on Friday, Oct. 24, a representative for the actress confirmed to PEOPLE.
At the event, Mendes posed for photos while showing off her engagement ring — a large diamond on a delicate band. She also wore a high-neck sleeveless gown with a beige-green bodice with ornate details and a layered, cream-colored skirt, and she styled her red-toned locks in an updo. Mendes completed the look with a pair of diamond earrings, which complemented her new ring.

Mendes was also seen with her Riverdale costar Madelaine Petsch, who wore a cutout brown dress for the occasion.

Mancuso popped the question just days prior in front of the couple's loved ones, a source told PEOPLE. Mendes reportedly thought they were attending a birthday party for her producing partner, Rachel Matthews.
"It was a surprise engagement party instead," the source told PEOPLE. "Rudy proposed to her in front of their family and friends."
After the party, the couple kept the celebration going at Glen Powell's "tracksuit and tequila-themed" birthday celebration, the source added. At the party, held at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, Mendes was spotted donning the large diamond ring.
Mendes and Mancuso — a musician and internet personality — met on Música, a coming-of-age, rom-com film on Amazon Prime Video, which he directed. Sparks flew during Mendes' screen test, the couple told PEOPLE in 2024.
"We have this two-minute silent footage, because there was no audio on the day, this silent footage of us talking and interacting, and we have it all recorded so you can see that there's this exciting energy and this giddiness," Mendes recalled of their first encounter.

Mancuso added, “It's safe to say there was chemistry from the moment we met, and it certainly was visible onscreen."

Mendes first teased fans with a glimpse into her relationship when she posted a photo of Mancuso kissing her cheek in November 2022. The following Valentine's Day, Mendes confirmed their relationship, sharing a photo of the pair kissing and writing in the caption, "Meu valentine. te amo so much."
