Viewers struggling to find an engaging series amid the overwhelming array of options should consider one Netflix program that has garnered glowing praise from audiences.
The show, which premiered on the streaming giant in 2024, consists of two seasons and was created by Guy Ritchie as a spin-off from his film of the same title.
"Season 2 was hands down the best thing I have ever watched in my entire life!" one enthusiast declared in a Reddit post, before urging the streaming platform not to cancel it. It comes after cast member Vinnie Jones spoke out on a major cast rumor.

"If anyone from Netflix is reading this post. Please I beg of you to not discontinue this show! Anything I have liked on Netflix has been canceled. This show is pure artistry and genius," the user added.
"Please do not cancel this! It was incredible! Amazing storyline, interesting characters, fantastic acting from the entire cast, beautiful sets and scenery, colorful, vibrant, fashionable wardrobes, artistic, wonderful cinematography, I can go on and on."

Naturally, the series being discussed is The Gentlemen, featuring Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings. According to Netflix's description, "Making moves to sell his valuable cannabis empire in the UK, an American kingpin sets off a series of plots, schemes and barefaced plays for his business."
The season two premiere drew approximately 3 million viewers throughout the UK during its opening week. This represents a decline of roughly 15% from the 3.5 million viewers who tuned in to The Gentlemen's debut episode when it launched in March 2024.
According to Deadline, the latest season attracted 6.7 million views during its initial four days on the global streaming platform, roughly half the viewership the first season achieved in its opening weekend. Nevertheless, this hasn't been mirrored in audience reactions, as fans flooded social media with overwhelming praise for The Gentlemen.

Responding to the Reddit post, one enthusiastic fan declared, "Theo James and Kaya Scodelario are amazing. I've never been into a show in so long! I binged the 2 seasons this weekend!" A second viewer gushed: "Gentlemen is miles ahead compared to rest of the Netflix originals. I don't know when was the last time I completed a Netflix series in a couple of days."

A third viewer commented, "We were worried a couple of episodes in, that it had experienced a decline in the writing standard. Luckily we persevered because wow. Shame it's only 8 episodes! Can't wait for the next season."
Meanwhile, a fourth enthusiastically proclaimed, "Well good news is third season has already been approved. If it ever gets cancelled, it'll be Susie Glass' wardrobe budget to be blamed." Netflix confirmed last week that another season is in development.
"Eddie Horniman doesn't wait for permission to make his next move - so it's not surprising The Gentlemen that has been confirmed for Season 3," the streaming service announced.
The Gentlemen holds a remarkably strong IMDb rating of 8.0 out of 10 based on 194,000 reviews. Fans will undoubtedly be eagerly anticipating the upcoming series.
It follows rumors that Meghan Markle is set to have a role in the series' second season. The speculation began on August 21, when Deadline published an "exclusive report" that Markle was in "preliminary conversations to join Guy Ritchie's Netflix series 'The Gentlemen' for Season 3."
However, sources told Page Six Hollywood that the Duchess of Sussex never actually received an offer and had only one conversation with the series' casting director.
"She took it as an offer. And it wasn't," says one insider. "And [she and Prince Harry] thought it would be helpful in the moment for there to be a reason for their move."
