Netflix increases prices: What you'll pay now
Netflix is raising its prices across subscription tiers.
The streaming giant previously raised prices in January 2025 and is now upping the cost of its subscriptions once more, according to new pricing information on Netflix's website.
The price change will affect all three subscription tiers Netflix offers, bringing the Standard subscription with ads to $8.99 per a month, up from its previous price of $7.99.

The ad-free Standard subscription will also jump to $19.99, up from $17.99 in last year's price bump.

"Extra member" subscription add-ons, which allow Netflix subscribers to share their account with others outside of their household, cost $7.99 per person for the Standard plan with ads (up from $6.99) and $9.99 per person for the ad-free plan (up from $8.99), according to Netflix's website.
Ad-free Standard subscribers are able to add one "extra member" to their account, while Premium plan subscribers are able to add two.
Earlier this year, Netflix scrapped plans to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery after Paramount launched a hostile takeover bid to acquire the studio.
The defunct Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery deal had been valued at approximately $83 billion, according to the company.
Warner Bros. Discovery announced it had agreed to a deal with Paramount in late February, valued at about $110 billion.
