Michelle Monaghan shared a heartfelt message to her fans after she turned 50 on Monday, March 23
Monaghan, who shares two kids with husband Peter White, said she has "the dreamiest husband and the dreamiest children"
The actress most recently appeared onscreen in The Family Plan 2 and season three of The White Lotus
Michelle Monaghan counted her blessings as she celebrated her 50th birthday.
"I'm generally a lowkey birthday gal but yesterday was an extra special one. 🎂," Monaghan, who turned 50 on Monday, March 23, wrote in an Instagram post the following day. The actress shared multiple selfies in her post along with a photo of what appeared to be people surprising her with a cake, as well as a bouquet of flowers she received, cards from friends and family and a second photo of a cake that featured a message: "Heard you don't like sweets / thanks for being born / we need sugar /you deserve a wish / happy birthday Michelle."
"Thank you for all the messages, calls, cards (there’s nothing I love more 🥹) and kind words shared. My day was filled with a ton of laughter (the key to my heart!) and I felt so loved up!" Monaghan wrote in her post. "☺️Celebrating my birthday serves as a reminder of all the love I have in my life - from family, to friends, to strangers :) My hope is that I will always extend that love right back. 💗"
Monaghan has been married to her husband Peter White since 2005; the couple share daughter Willow, 17, and son Tommy, 12, whom she shouted out in her birthday post.
"I'm living a life I’ve always dreamed of, with the dreamiest husband and the dreamiest children," she added. "It’s not lost on me how blessed I am. Every year that I get to share these days with those I treasure - healthy and happy - is one I’ll never take for granted. 🙏 #glimmerseverywhere"

A number of Monaghan's celebrity friends, including Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Gina Gershon, Selma Blair and Monaghan's The White Lotus costar Leslie Bibb, chimed in on the comments of her post to wish her a happy birthday.

Monaghan most recently appeared on the big screen in The Family Plan 2, a sequel to her and Mark Wahlberg's 2023 movie, as well as her memorable role in season three of HBO's The White Lotus. While speaking with PEOPLE in November 2025, Monaghan opened up about her experience watching her children grow up with White. “You raise them because you want them to spread their wings, but then at the same time, not so far — you want to still remain connected,” she said at the time.
“And so, I think I struggle with that a lot. You want them to hit all of these milestones and be independent, but at the same time, you still want to feel needed and you want them at home, of course,” she added.
