Meghan Markle Could Go ‘Bankrupt by Year’s End’ as $5 Million Loss Looms: Report

Amid ongoing reports about alleged financial struggles involving her and Prince Harry, reports suggest that Meghan Markle might face an estimated $5 million loss.

Despite starting her As Ever brand with high hopes of capitalizing on her fame, Markle is now said to be struggling to sell the products before a deadline.

According to the Daily Mail, if Markle doesn’t find a way to sell her stocked items, like jams, teas, and flower sprinkles jars, before the summer ends, the products could expire and cause her to suffer significant losses.

Meghan Markle Faces Overstock Issue With As Ever Products

Previously, when Meghan Markle started her lifestyle business venture in 2025, she quickly sold out all of her products within minutes. Her jams, teas, crepe and cookie mixes, and flower sprinkles became bestsellers on her website, leading Markle to restock within two months.

This time, given the popularity and demand of her products among her patrons, the Duchess ordered 10 times her original amount.

In addition, she also added new products to the site, like a bottle of rosé wine, alongside the usual items. And like always, even the wine got sold out within minutes. These bustling sales numbers thus led Markle to expand her business in August 2025, which unfortunately caused the overstock issue.

In January 2026, a website glitch revealed the reality of demand for Markle’s products. According to Page Six, the website has around 650,190 units of unsold stock.

So now, Markle reportedly needs to sell the remaining inventory, or else face a major $5 million (or more) loss. Meanwhile, amid the inventory crisis, the Duchess is also facing lower visitor numbers to her site.

According to Newsweek, the number of U.S. visitors to Markle’s site has plummeted. After initially witnessing 180,000 visits from U.S. audiences in December 2025, her site recorded 61,500 US visitors in April 2026.

The decline in traffic has led some observers to speculate about a drop in popularity of Markle’s “As Ever” brand. Now, the former royal needs to empty the inventory before the products become unsellable.

Markle’s Representative Disputes the Business Loss Report

Based on the data, sources told Woman’s Day that there’s a possibility for Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand to go “bankrupt by the end of the year” if the Duchess fails to clear out the overstock.

“Meghan just can’t move enough product and she can’t expect to sell things at full price with shortened expiration dates,” an insider shared. “Unless she and Harry have some miracle up their sleeve, there might be no saving this business.”

They added, “She should hold a sale but she knows she’s going to be wrecked over it. It’s kicking the can down the road though because it’s tick-tock on that As Ever stock.” In addition, the sources also revealed the larger impact on Prince Harry.

The source claimed that the possible business loss has left the Prince devastated. “He’s blown most of his inheritance on what’s becoming clear are nothing more than passion projects.” However, amid the alleged crisis, Markle’s representative disputed the rumors.

They told Page Six, “The problem with all of these repetitive Alison Boshoff Daily Mail ‘As ever’ doom stories are that they’re like Groundhog Day: the same prediction, the same unnamed sources, the same certainty, and somehow we’re still waiting for the apocalypse they promised in 2024.”
