Anaheim police arrested a man after influencer Yoatzi Castro shared a video where he allegedly groped her at Disneyland
Police told PEOPLE that he was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery, a misdemeanor
“I really wanted to just spread awareness because, as women, we always have to have our guard up because you never know when men like this are around us,” Castro told her followers
A man was arrested after an influencer claimed he groped her at Disneyland.
In a video shared to Instagram on Sept. 24, content creator Yoatzi Castro claimed that a man had groped her while she was livestreaming at the popular theme park in Anaheim, Calif. Her post also included a clip of a Twitch livestream, which appeared to show the alleged interaction.
In the clip, a man passes behind her, and his hand disappears from view, before Castro quickly turns around and punches his back, saying, “Bro, no, he grabbed my a--.”
Castro shared in a follow-up video that she told security at Disneyland about the alleged encounter, and that security located the man and called Anaheim police.

A spokesperson for the Anaheim Police Department told PEOPLEthat officers responded after an “influencer indicated via livestream that she was sexually assaulted by an individual that groped her as he walked by her.”
The spokesperson said that the influencer had alerted Disneyland security about the alleged incident, and security had contacted Anaheim police. Officers at the scene interviewed the alleged suspect, the spokesperson continued, and arrested him on suspicion of sexual battery, a misdemeanor. He was released later that night with a citation.

The spokesperson said that Anaheim police are not releasing the man’s name as the department continues to investigate, including by interviewing witnesses.
Castro said in her video that she intended to press charges.

A spokesperson for Disneyland Resort told PEOPLE that it was aware of an incident on Sept. 23 and worked with local law enforcement to respond but did not share further details.
“I am so grateful to Disneyland security and I’m pleased because I feel like justice was done,” Castro shared in her video. “I really wanted to just spread awareness because, as women, we always have to have our guard up because you never know when men like this are around us.”
