Apple shares have risen steadily for most of this year ahead of today’s quarterly earnings report.
Options pricing implies Apple shares could move about 4% in the days after the results.
Apple’s stock has had a good year. Its next test comes today.
Shares of the iPhone maker, up 27% in 2026 through Friday’s close just under $347, were recently down about 1% ahead of the company’s next quarterly financial report, due after the close. Wall Street analysts are looking for quarterly revenue of $113.6 billion, according to Visible Alpha data, and net income of $29.2 billion.
Traders expect a modest move by Apple’s (AAPL) shares in the coming days, according to Investopedia calculations based on Friday’s close for the stock and current options pricing. The shares are projected to move about 4%, which would put them at a high of around $358 or a low near $331.
Today’s earnings are the first under CEO John Ternus, who replaced Tim Cook in September. Ternus is contending with rising memory prices, which the company said were contributing to “supply constraints” even as it saw strong iPhone demand in its last quarter.
