Players might love GTA 6 for side activities alone, including jet skiing, mini golf, billiards, and more. The anticipated open-world title is developed and published by Rockstar Games.

It has now been confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will keep players invested for hours, thanks to multiple side activities. They will be able to go base jumping, kayaking, scuba diving, and airboating, Game Informer reports.

The game will also offer options to work out at gyms, visit zoos, and even engage in street or off-road racing.

GTA 6 offers plenty of ways to spend time outside its main story

It’s already known that GTA 6 will take players approximately 80 hours to complete, including the main campaign and optional content. Considering that, it’s good news for players to have multiple side activities. This way, they will definitely not feel bored or exhausted after going through the main story missions.

Given GTA 6’s open-world nature, players can discover even more side quests and fun stuff across the vast map of Leonida as they explore every corner. What makes the side activities even more captivating is that they will affect the chemistry between the two protagonists, Jason and Lucia.

Rockstar has confirmed that certain activities outside the main campaign may have serious consequences for the broader narrative. Plus, players are expected to have more freedom to decide how to progress through Jason and Lucia’s journeys.

GTA 6 has also borrowed some interesting elements from Rockstar’s previous blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2. It will be divided into different chapters, similar to the 2018 open-world title. “The game is set over chapters, which also help us figure out how the game is going to move,” confirmed Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson.

GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
