Gal Gadot just revealed the one thing that’s been keeping her from ever doing Wonder Woman 3. The actress shared a deeply personal and compelling reason why returning to the iconic DC role no longer works for her life.

Gal Gadot says Wonder Woman 3 no longer works for her life

Gal Gadot has revealed that reprising her role as Wonder Woman no longer fits her current lifestyle. Speaking to Josh Horowitz on Happy Sad Confused, the actress cited her family responsibilities as the primary reason.

“For me to go to do another Wonder Woman, I am not sure I would at this point in my life with four children and different schools and all of that,” Gadot said. “To check out from all of them for such a long period of time, it doesn’t work for my life anymore at this point.”

Gadot’s comments come days after she criticized DC Studios’ handling of Henry Cavill’s Superman exit and Wonder Woman 3’s cancellation. Last week, she also confirmed her retirement from the role after years of uncertainty surrounding her DCU future.

During the interview, Gadot reflected on advice she received early in her career from Kate Winslet. She recalled asking Winslet how she balanced acting with raising three children. “She was like, ‘You just do or you don’t.’ And that’s fine, too,” Gadot shared.

The actress also noted that she does not plan her career years in advance. “I’m not the type of person that has a 10-year planner,” she said. “I’m much more, I go with the flow. I act from my instincts and my intuitions.”

Gadot first appeared as Diana Prince in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She went on to star in six DCEU films before her final appearance in 2023’s The Flash. DC Studios is currently developing a new Wonder Woman film with Ana Nogueira writing the script. The film does not yet have a director or release date attached to it.
