Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber looked back on a memorable episode of Full House that found the Tanner family sharing screen time with a chimpanzee.
On the Tuesday, Oct. 28, episode of their podcast How Rude, Tanneritos!, the pair revisited the 1992 episode "Too Much Monkey Business," from the sitcom’s fifth season.
“This was worse than I remembered,” Barber joked of the episode, in which Danny’s (Bob Saget) zoologist sister comes to visit with her pet primate, Ginger.
In one scene, Ginger crawls into bed with Jesse (John Stamos), who thinks he’s been joined by his wife, Becky (Lori Loughlin), and asks, “Is that new perfume? It's a walk on the wild side, isn't it?”

“I feel like Becky and the chimp would smell very different,” Sweetin noted.
“Do you remember when we interviewed John and he talked about being terrified?” Sweetin said, referring to a previous chat with Stamos.
“Because they were like, ‘Don't look it in the eye.’ Because chimps are dangerous,” she added. “They were like, ‘If you have to interact with it, like it has to get to know you a little bit, but like, don't look at it in the eye. Don't smile at it.'"
Barber pointed out that Stamos had "a lot of physical interaction" with the animal, who's even "smacking him at one point.”
“That had to hurt,” Sweetin said.
“Props to John for getting through this,” Barber said.
Becky then walks in to find Ginger running her hands through Jesse’s hair and is “trying to contain her laughter,” Barber noted.

At one point, Ginger is seen repeatedly slapping Jesse’s behind.
“John is laughing so hard too,” Sweetin says. “It's like he's trying to keep it together, and he cannot.”
“There's no way to get through this scene without laughing and breaking,” Barber said. “So this was probably the best take that they had. This is ridiculous. There's a chimp spanking him.”

The podcast’s previous episode had Sweetin and Barber questioning an oddly timed baking scene on the show’s fifth season.
Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) shows off some freshly baked gingerbread cookies in the episode, which the duo said actually took place in late January — not around Christmas.
“Did he have some, like, brown sugar that was starting to harden and molasses that was going bad?” Barber, who played neighbor Kimmy Gibbler, suggested. “And so he's like, let me just whip up some gingerbread And use up these ingredients.”
