Shelby Nonnenberg's daughter may just set the record for the longest baby ever born at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital.
On Thursday, March 26, Nonnenberg welcomed her baby daughter Lucy, who immediately caught attention for her size. Lucy was born weighing 9 lbs., 13.3 oz. and measuring 23 inches long — making her one of the longest babies ever born at the Pasco County hospital.
"My sweet little Lucy," Nonnenberg told Fox 13 News. "Little being a loose term, that's for sure."

Lucy is already working up quite a big appetite as Nonnenberg shares that she's drinking milk every two hours.
"The average newborn doesn't eat that much at all," she explained. "She is knocking it back."

Nonnenberg said her OB-GYN, Reut Bardach, was similarly stunned by her daughter's length.
"My doctor said this was the longest baby she's ever delivered in her 17-year career," she shared. "'Dr. Bardach said, 'Wow, what a giant.'"

According to the outlet, HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is currently reviewing records to determine if Lucy is the longest baby born at the hospital.
After she was delivered by C-section, Lucy went home with her parents only two days later. Her dad Rick Nonnenberg says she's already grown out of newborn clothing sizes.
"We had newborn clothes, and we had zero to 3-month-old clothes that we brought with us to the hospital," he said. "None of those fit either. So she's in the 3-to-6-month category."
