Vice President JD Vance joined his wife on her new podcast for a Father's Day special, first obtained by the Daily Caller.

Second Lady Usha Vance's podcast, "Storytime With the Second Lady," features a special reader each episode. The Vice President will appear on Sunday's podcast, where he talked about his job, his reading habits with his kids, and read one of his favorite stories: Winnie-the-Pooh. The episode, which the Caller previewed before its release, is expected to air Sunday morning.

"I'm lucky enough to serve under a President who gives me a lot of responsibility. So, there are a lot of things that we do, and you know, one of the things that I have to do is, in our country, of course, we have senators and congressmen and women who vote on laws. Well, if there's a 50-50 tie in the Senate, then I have to break the tie," Vance explained on the podcast.

"I also have some roles in the diplomacy that we do, and so I'll go to other countries, sometimes with you, of course, and sometimes we even take our kids to meet with foreign leaders and people who maybe they have a disagreement with the United States, or maybe we have a disagreement with them, and so we talk about how to resolve those disagreements," he continued.

The Vice President and Second Lady also discussed how JD reads to their children and how now, some of his children are starting to read to him.

"You, of course, are very into teaching our kids how to read, which is very cool, and I'm very excited about, but the downside of it is that the more advanced they get, the less that they want mom and dad to read to them," he said.

"Well, luckily, there's going to be a new baby for you to read to, so right, have many more years ahead of you. Right?" Usha interjected. (RELATED: Vance Recounts Emotional Story Behind Baby No. 4 Following Charlie Kirk's Assassination)

"Right, that's right. That's why I so desperately wanted to have a fourth baby is because I was sick of my kids growing up, and I was not yet ready to be out of the baby phase," Vance joked. The Vice President then went on to explain the story of Winnie-the-Pooh and read the book. After the story, he added that the original Winnie-the-Pooh stuffed animals are featured here in America.

The Second Lady's podcast launched in March and featured Usha reading The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. The podcast is part of the Second Lady's work to "increase childhood literacy rates and inspire a love of reading in children across the country."

Most recently, the Second Lady launched a summer reading challenge that received tens of thousands of submissions from all 50 states.

"Reading for pleasure at home builds stronger literacy and classroom skills and opens the door to a world of opportunity for children," Usha Vance said in a press release about her podcast. "I'm excited to invite special guests to share great stories, spread their love of reading, and help reverse the decline of childhood literacy rates in our country."
