If you happened to hear Lily Allenâs newest LP, West End Girl (which we named one of the best albums of 2025), then youâll know that she recently went through a separation from Stranger Things actor David Harbour, a split that strongly inspired the messy, gripping, tell-all release.
Letting her music do the talking, Allen has remained relatively mum on the topic of her recently-dissolved relationship, but as sheâs stepped out for a few rare red carpet appearances, her revenge dressing has spoken volumes too.
Now, it appears the English singer-songwriter has a new man in her life: Jonah Freud. The writer and artist comes from a very culturally-connected family, with his father being the head of a major UK public relations firm, while his great-great-grandfather was none other than the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud.
So, who exactly is Jonah Freud and how did he and Lily Allen meet? Ahead, find out everything we know.
The two were first linked in December 2025.

On December 19, Allen hosted a holiday celebration for her loved ones at the Stringfellows club in London, where she dressed the part of a Claus and cozied up with her new man.
At the party, the âSleepwalkingâ singer was captured kissing Freud, while other moments saw the two wrapped in each othersâ arms.
This was the first time the two were seen engaging in PDA, and they also posed for photos with other friends that night, like Marco Capaldo and Jordan Hewson. Previously, they had been spotted together at an Oasis party in September.

Freudâs father is Matthew Freud, a British entrepreneur and the founder of Freud Communications, an international PR firm that is based out of the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, his mother, Caroline Hutton, is an aristocrat and the ex-wife of Princess Dianaâs brother, Charles Spencer.
Otherwise, his grandmother Jill was a famous actor, his grandfather Sir Clement Raphael was a politician and broadcaster, and his aunt Emma is a television interviewer.
Of course, perhaps Freudâs most famous ancestor is his great-great-grandfather: Sigmund Freud (yes, that Sigmund Freud).
He maintains a very private life.

Right now, he keeps private social media accounts, and he has only made a few public appearances this year, for events like the launch of a new ceramics collection by his relative, Martha, and a dinner to commemorate the opening of the âRichard Rogers: Talking Buildingsâ exhibition at the Sir John Soaneâs Museum. He also sat front row at the Erdem Fall 2025 show back in February.
He opened his own literary shop in London.
Nestled at 2 Arundel Street in London, you can find Reference Point, a library, bookstore, and bar all in one, which was founded by Freud. The venue is home to art collections, rare books, and other specialized titles.
The business makes sense for Freud, given that he is a writer and artist himself. For instance, he contributed to the 2020 novel Loss & Hope, which he discussed the inspiration behind during an interview with ShowStudio.
âI found that when I was hit by sudden loss, and subsequently afterwards when I was faced with grief, that I kept feeling like I was grieving wrong,â he said. âThe more I spoke to people, the more I found they felt the same thing. I realized that everyone had effectively lost someone close to them to suicide. None of them had ever told me about it, it was this horrible little secret membersâ club that you only got initiated into when it happened to you, it wasnât something you spoke about otherwise.â
He added: âI wanted to create an exposĂ©, to shatter the illusion that grief, mental health, or suicide is just a thing that happens and then you donât speak about it. To show people that theyâre not alone and that theyâre grieving exactly the right way for them. Thereâs no one way to grieve, the only thing you can do is respond to your instincts and try and surround yourself with love and the comfort that other people have been through this and theyâre still here and theyâre okay. Weâve put something together that gathers 30 people from every walk of life who have dealt with grief in different ways. At the end of each written piece or artwork, that person has got through it. Something beautiful happened because of something awful.â
