- The *Stranger Things* star tied the knot with now-husband Christian Lee Hutson on Valentine's Day in an intimate wedding, surrounded by family and friends.

- "I've had a lot of feelings in my life, and that was one I have no words for what that feels like," the 53-year-old said while recalling the emotional moment he walked Maya down the aisle.

Ethan Hawke has a lot of feelings about fulfilling his fatherly duties on his daughter Maya Hawke's wedding day earlier this year.

Two months after the *Great Expectations* star and ex-wife Uma Thurman's eldest daughter said "I do," to her now-husband Christian Lee Hutson on Valentine's Day, the 53-year-old is reflecting on the emotional moment when he walked Maya down the aisle.

"That was pretty fun," Ethan told *Entertainment Tonight* at the 2026 TIME100 Gala on Thursday. "What really makes it is, you know, walking your daughter down the aisle... I've had a lot of feelings in my life, and that was one I have no words for what that feels like."

Getting noticeably emotional while recalling the moment, Hawke added, "I have no vocabulary for that. I felt like I was 13, experiencing life for the first time."

Ethan also had nothing but good things to say about his new musician son-in-law.

"It means a lot because she's so happy and I love her husband," Ethan later shared while speaking with *E! News*. "I feel like a really lucky man to watch her be so happy and to know that she's with somebody that I respect so much."

The *Stranger Things* star tied the knot with Hutson in an intimate wedding, surrounded by family and friends. PEOPLE confirmed that the actress, 27, and musician, 35, said "I do," in a formal New York ceremony attended by several A-listers, including Maya Hawke's parents.

Several of Hawke's *Stranger Things* costars were also in attendance, including Joe Keery, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton, and Natalia Dyer. Other attendees included *White Lotus *star Sam Nivola and *Ready or Not 2: Here I Come* actress Kathryn Newton.

Uma and Ethan, who were married from 1998 to 2005, also share son Levon Hawke, who was in attendance for the Feb. 14 nuptials.

Maya and Hutson met years ago while recording music together. The singer-songwriter, who himself has released three albums co-produced by Phoebe Bridgers, was featured on Maya's 2024 album, *Chaos Angel*.

Hawke clarified that the duo were friends for several years before pursuing a relationship during a June 2024 interview on the *Zach Sang Show*, noting that Huston produced her album during that pre-dating stretch. "I cannot recommend, highly enough, dating your friends," she gushed. "It's the best. They know you. They understand that you are a human being who has dated other people, who has feelings and is a living, breathing human... not just a piece of paper for them to project their image of a perfect girlfriend onto."

She continued, "It's the best to feel seen in that way, to feel like someone you're falling in love with can help you work on a song about a time you were in love with someone else. It's pretty frickin' awesome."

Hutson then confirmed their engagement during a conversation with SoCal Sound Session last year. After host Julie Slater mentioned that Hutson worked on one of his songs, "Carousel Horses" with his "fiancée" Maya, the musician replied, "Yeah." Two months later, Maya was photographed wearing a diamond engagement ring.

Maya recently opened up about married life as a newlywed while speaking with **'s sister site, PEOPLE in March.

The *Do Revenge* star raved that married life so far has been "absolutely fantastic." She added, "I'm a very, very lucky person who's very happy right now. And yeah, couldn't be more grateful."
