Carrie Anne Fleming, a Canadian actress best known for her recurring roles in two long-running CW shows *Supernatural* and *iZombie*, died on Feb. 26. She was 51.
Fleming's *Supernatural* costar Jim Beaver announced the news in an emotional social media post, sharing a photograph of the two actors on set.
"My friend, my lover, my bright light, my beautiful costar," Beaver captioned the March 2 post. "Carrie Anne Fleming, who played Bobby Singer's wife Karen on *Supernatural* died on Thursday, February 26, after confronting cancer for a long time. My heart is broken."
Beaver subsequently confirmed to *Variety* on Sunday that Fleming died of breast cancer complications.
Representatives for Beaver and Fleming did not immediately respond to **'s request for comment.
Born Aug. 16, 1974, in Digby, Bear River, Nova Scotia, Canada, Fleming appeared in more than 40 screen roles across her three-decade career. She made her debut with a role in the 1994 NBC TV movie *Viper* and next landed an uncredited role in the Adam Sandler golf comedy, *Happy Gilmore*. From there, she made one-off appearances on shows such as *Secret Agent Man, Stargate SG-1* and *The Dead Zone*.

In 2005, she landed a role in a Dario Argento-directed episode, "Jenifer," of the horror anthology series, *Masters of Horror.* Fleming played the titular role, in the episode revolving around a disfigured woman with cannibalistic tendencies.
Fleming next appeared on such popular series as *Smallville* and *The L Word* before landing the role of Karen Singer on *Supernatural*. In her first appearance on the show, in its second season, Fleming had a one-off role as a dying nurse. She would later return to play Bobby's deceased wife, Karen, in the season five episode "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid." Two seasons later, she reprised her role for the Bobby-centric episode, "Death's Door."
Fleming later returned to the CW for 12 episodes of *iZombie*, the drama about a medical resident-turned-zombie who solves crimes. She played braid dealer, Candy Baker.

Fleming's additional roles include *Continuum*, *Motive*, *UnREAL* and *Supergirl*. In the 2015 TV film *The Unauthorized Full House Story —* which followed the behind-the-scenes making of the hit sitcom — Fleming played the mother of *Full House* star Candace Cameron Bure. The actress also acted onstage in several BC productions, including *Romeo and Juliet, Steel Magnolias, *and *Fame*.
Fleming is survived by her daughter Madalyn Rose (Max). A memorial service for the actress be announced at a later date.
