In *’s* exclusive sneak peek of *Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test** *season 5, Candace Cameron Bure, Oliver Hudson, George Santos, Collin Gosselin, and more get pushed to their limits in the deep jungles of Malaysia as they face grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual special forces selection process.

Teasing that things will be a little “different” this season, the montage opens with the contestants sitting back and relaxing by a mansion pool as they get to know each other.

“I said, ‘We’re not going to talk politics or religion.’ And now look at who I’m sitting in between,” Brandi Glanville jokes to the group as she points to former Republican congressman Santos, and Cameron Bure, who has been open about her devout faith.

As the cast laughs, a ring at the doorbell interrupts the fun and a team of ex-special forces operatives breaks in, screaming for the group to “get down on the ground!” as they throw people into the pool.

The teaser then flashes to the jungle — as a cover of Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle” aptly plays — and shows the new recruits fighting for their lives.

Cameron Bure vomits and screams, and Santos struggles to remain upright. Other contestants are thrown off cliffs into deep water and seen army crawling through the mud and dirt as they desperately try to avoid snakes.

“What we just did, just now,” *Baywatch *alum David Charvet begins, covered in dirt, “Hardest thing in my life,” former NBA star Matt Barnes finishes.

Cameron Bure, Gosselin, Hudson, Santos, and Glanville, along with Matt Barnes, Alycia Baumgardner, David Charvet, LeSean McCoy, Maxim Naumov, Ruby Rose, Hannah Stocking, Breana Tiesi, Alexia Umansky, and Mauricio Umansky make up the group of recruits for season 5, which will premiere Thursday, Sept. 24, on Fox. They will each try to survive demanding training exercises led by ex-special forces operatives Rudy Reyes, Billy Billingham, Jason “Foxy” Fox, and Jovon “Q” Quarles.

This season has promised to be the “most hostile” yet, as the group of celebrities, politicians, and athletes will be asked to “adapt to uncomfortable conditions, unpredictable terrain, and harsh jungle warfare tasks, including a claustrophobic, high-pressure search of an underground bunker to find crucial military weapons; a supply load retrieval while suspended 300 feet above the jungle floor; endure a barrage of chemical gassing while retrieving coordinates of an enemy vessel; and much more,” Fox’s official logline reads.

In true *Special Forces *fashion, the tradition of no votes or eliminations will continue  — with the only way off the show being to voluntarily tap out of the competition.

Season 5 of *Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test *premieres Thursday, Sept. 24, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
