LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau is unsure of what the future will look like for LIV Golf - but believes there are multiple options.
The two-time U.S. Open winner is one of the largest names on the circuit, and led a player meeting ahead of LIV Golf New York, where Richard Bland revealed each player was backing him and CEO Scott O’Neil.
It makes sense as DeChambeau has been heavily involved in the success of LIV Golf, who lost their funding in the middle of the season when the PIF announced they were backing out.
Thanks to the uncertainty, rumors are swirling that Jon Rahm could leave the circuit alongside a few others, as he is reportedly still owed around $150 million from the league. But DeChambeau is optimistic.

“There's 100% a way forward if a couple leave, for sure,” DeChambeau told Pro Golf Critic in Indianapolis. “I think it's dependent upon the quality of players. It has to be.”
The 'quality' is nearly riding on Rahm, DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, Tyrrell Hatton, and Phil Mickelson, who has played in just one event this entire season thanks to a personal family matter.

“We can't lose all of them, obviously,” said DeChambeau. “But a few can go, and there's a system in place to where we can still have the investor raise the capital necessary based on a certain type of player and who the players are.”

LIV Golf will have just 10 events in the 2027 season and each player is being offered a slice of equity in the company, but some are still eyeing the DP World Tour. The 2027 investment announcement also wasn't specific.
“So, there's three different scenarios from what I know,” continued DeChambeau. “Maybe there's more, maybe there's not. But from what I've heard, it's three different scenarios for players to be here that allow for the investment to go through.”
DeChambeau noted that the ‘Dallas Crushers’ are coming next year as a part of LIV Golf, and he is also uncertain of what the future holds as his contract expires at the end of this year.

“If look, if this thing doesn't go through, which I don't think that'll happen, I do see a potential of the Crushers name still being involved in the ecosystem of my life and in the Dallas ecosystem as well, as creating an academy around that,” said DeChambeau.
“You know, it's great to call something the Bryson DeChambeau Academy, but I'd rather it be called the Crushers Academy. My name only lasts for so long, and I think that something that's a different name can last forever.”
