A bride-to-be is looking for a classic car that belonged to her her late dad ahead of her wedding day

"I'm trying to find out if it still exists and if so, I would love this car to drive me from my childhood home to my wedding venue," the bride shared

A bride-to-be is looking for a keepsake from her late dad ahead of her wedding day — and she's turning to the classic car community for some assistance.

36-year-old Chelsea Hermann, who is set to tie the knot in October this year, first opened up about her search for her late dad's 1937 green Ford coupe — with a silver stripe down the side — in a post shared to Facebook earlier this month.

"The last time I saw this car was at my Dad's funeral," she wrote, sharing that it was his "last passion project" before he died.

"I'm trying to find out if it still exists and if so, I would love this car to drive me from my childhood home to my wedding venue," Hermann continued, sharing that finding the car would be "the closest I can get to my dad walking me down the aisle."

"Facebook has found crazier things… can we find it??" the bride-to-be asked. "... If it still exists around here, this would be the most special wedding gift."

Speaking to New Hampshire outlet WMUR, Hermann shared how so many members of the local classic car community and mechanics have joined in the search for the car — which was seen more than 20 years ago at his funeral parade.

"I don't have my dad," she told the outlet. "But you know, what happens with the future, specifically at a wedding — all the traditions, the daddy-daughter dance — that became a question right away and something I dreaded for the longest time."

Bobby Garland Jr. and his father Garland Sr., of Garland's Garage in Madbury, are assisting Hermann in hunting down the Ford.

"We think it’s still local," Garland Jr. told WMUR. "Hopefully, we can track it down — if we ask the right questions, we can find out."

Garland Sr., who knew Hermann's father, recalled going "cruisin' " in their restored vehicles — and shared that he would love to see the bride reunited with her dad's final project.

"I'd love to see it happen. I can only imagine how she feels," he told the outlet.

As the search grows even wider on social media and Hermann's wedding approaches, the bride-to-be shared that she's happy with any outcome, even if the car is never found — as the process of looking for the Ford has brought her even closer to her late father.

"I think that if it does happen, it's a sign from dad," she shared.
