Better Call Saulstar Bob Odenkirk is sharing the memento he kept from the set of the show, in which he played the titular character Saul Goodman.
Odenkirk, 63, portrayed the flashy, less-than-scrupulous lawyer Saul Goodman (a.k.a. Jimmy McGill) on Breaking Bad, before going on to star in his own Emmy-nominated prequel series, Better Call Saul, which ran from 2015 to 2022.
In an interview with The Guardian,Odenkirk said of his wardrobe on the show: "A lot of Saul’s suits and ties were made for Saul only. They offered me stuff, but I don’t wear suits, so I kept the ties."

Elsewhere in the interview, Odenkirk told the outlet of the character: "Saul’s actually a very earnest guy. He’s aware that he has an ability to talk people into things, and talk his way out of things."

"The sad thing is that he can’t think of a better use for it than to become a conman, because he has a resentment inside him that drives him to use his talents in a destructive way," he added of Goodman.

Odenkirk suffered a near-fatal heart attack on the set of the AMC hit in 2021, later telling The Times U.K.that he collapsed while filming, and that costars Rhea Seehorn and Patrick Fabian "grabbed me and they were screaming."
However, because of pandemic restrictions, "there were delays in reacting because we were all so far apart from each other," the actor said. "I was gone. I turned grey. Eventually the on-set medic showed up and he didn't know what to do. He'd never done CPR.”
Odenkirk was nominated for five Golden Globe Awards and six Emmys for his performance in the series, despite the fact that some execs initially didn't like the character.
