Alec Baldwin is owning up to a fib he told his wife Hilaria Baldwin, after she already caught him in the act.
During a special live taping of the his iHeartRadio podcast, Here’s The Thing, on Feb. 26, Alec, 67, opened up about his love of the Beatles. His interest in the band even led him to tell a lie to wife Hilaria, 42.
After the release of The Beatles: Get Back, a three-part documentary series that follows the band as they prepared for their first live show in over two years, Alec says he snuck off to an area of his home away from his wife in order to watch.
“I used to lie to my wife,” the 30 Rock star says. “We have a screening room in the basement of our house… it’s pretty.”

While on his way to the home theater, Hilaria would stop and ask, “Where are you going?” to which Alec says he’d reply “I’m going to go down and clean the screening room.”
But in reality, Alec wasn’t tidying at all.“And I go down, I put on Get Back. I watched it in an hour and a half,” he says. “I come back upstairs. My wife [says], ‘It must be very clean now.’ ”
This isn’t the first time the couple has hinted at the grand features found at their Amagansett, N.Y. property. In August 2025, the couple did a wide ranging interview with The New York Times about the family’s three-story summer home on Long Island’s East End.
“This was Alec’s safe space for a long time before he met me,” Hilaria said. “A place he would come during very difficult times in his life: his divorce, a custody battle, everything. So it has been a piece-by-piece process learning how to come together and create something here, which I think is normal in any relationship.”

The 11,000-square-foot home was prominently featured in the TLC reality show The Baldwins which follows the couple as they raise their eight children. The entire estate features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a library, an open-concept living area and a basement movie theater which was converted into a playroom.

When the couple wed in 2012, it occasionally meant a clashing of lifestyles inside the home.“I picked the pantry because I didn’t think he was going to care,” Hilaria said of emptying out the kitchen pantry, which was filled with expired items. “But he was furious.”
“That was the beginning of the whole thermonuclear reaction of you taking over the house,” Alec said. “She started out slowly, then it was like a coup d’état.”

However, in December, Hilaria spoke to gurus magazine about the couple’s desire to raise their children elsewhere.
“We don’t want to raise our kids in the Hamptons anymore," she told the outlet. “We’re considering L.A. It’s all about fresh energy — a reset.”
