Jordan Rodgers defended brother Aaron Rodgers after the Pittsburgh Steelers’ tough loss against the New England Patriots.

The brothers were previously estranged for years.

Aaron confirmed earlier this month that they had reconciled.

If the Rodgers family can set aside their differences, anything is possible.

Jordan Rodgers defended brother Aaron Rodgers during Wednesday’s episode of ESPN’s First Takewhile discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers’ rough 20-3 loss against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

“Rodgers was actually very accurate down the field,” Jordan said of his brother. “The throws that were not completed because he threw a non-call or that were dropped down the field were on the money. Not trying to be a homer.”

Jordan’s quip got some laughs from the studio as he continued to discuss Aaron’s team, noting that the Steelers are “still trying to figure out who they want to be” in the NFL. “I think they’ll get better with patience,” he added.

Jordan appeared on now-wife JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette in 2016, telling viewers about his family’s estrangement from the quarterback, but not sharing too many details. (Jordan wed Fletcher in 2022 and they welcomed a daughter three years later.)

“Me and Aaron don’t really have that much of a relationship. It’s just kind of the way he’s chosen to do life and I’ve chosen to stay close with my family and my parents and my brother,” Jordan shared ahead of his hometown date with Fletcher. “Yeah, it’s not ideal, and I love him. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in his shoes and have the pressure he has, the demands from people that he has. I don’t have hard feelings against him. It’s just how things are right now.”

The Super Bowl champ offered his take on the family rift on Netflix’s Aaron Rodgers: Enigma. Aaron explained in the 2024 documentary that things went awry when he started to question his family’s religion, which he called, “very rigid in structure.” Aaron also alleged that he found ways to become his “own parent.”

Their yearslong estrangement came to an end earlier this year when Aaron posted several photos of himself alongside parents Ed and Darla Rodgers, plus brother Luke Rodgers. “Another bonding week,” Aaron captioned the July snaps.

Fans wondered at the time if Aaron and Jordan had reconciled as well. Aaron shared on the Not Just Football podcast earlier this month that he and Jordan had sat down for one of many “tough conversations.” Aaron, who has credited his mysterious wife Brittani for facilitating the reconciliations, said “it was cool” to bury the hatchet. “I’m just in a much better headspace.”

He added: “There’s been a few things that have happened the last couple of years, which has made the idea of reconciling with my parents first an opportunity.”
