The United States is still two years away from hosting the 2028 Olympics, but preparations and planning already have begun.

It will be the first time the Summer Olympics have returned to the United States in 32 years. Southern California will serve as the primary area for most of the athletic events that year. Softball and canoe slalom are expected to take place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

For sports fans interested in acquiring tickets for the Olympic Games, registration for the ticket draw will begin on Jan. 14, according to the LA28 website. Olympic tickets are expected to go on sale later in 2026, while Paralympic tickets will be made available for purchase in 2027.

After fans have registered for the ticket drawing, they will soon find an email with a randomly selected time slot to purchase their tickets at a later date.
